Dr Z Amps Brake-Lite SA

Stand Alone Attenuator!

Compact and portable!

Works with any Ohms on amps up to 45 watts!

Use with any tube guitar amplifier head or combo!

The Dr Z Brake Lite SA Attenuator is a stand alone version of the popular Brake Lite attenuator from Dr. Z Amps. Unlike the regular Brake Like, which is designed specifically to mount easily and discreetly inside most combo guitar amps, the Brake Lite Stand Alone can be used as a free standing alternative. (The SA has an enclosed chassis whereas the regular is partially open and needs to be mounted). Like it's big brother, the Dr Z Airbrake, there is no sacrifice in tone. The Brake-Lite SA is the perfect accessory for dialing in the tonal sweet spot of a loud tube guitar amplifier while dialing back the volume level. The Brake Lite SA works with any tube amp up to 45 watts and can be used with 4, 8, or 16, ohm loads. Very simple to use, the Brake Lite simply plugs in between your Head or Combo amplifier chassis and the speaker or speaker cabinet.

The Brake Lite SA works with any tube amp up to 45 watts and can be used with 4, 8, or 16, ohm loads. The SA features 2 speaker outs that are wired in parallel. You can now run multiple cabs with ease.

The Brake Lite SA measures 6" x 5" x 3 ¼" and weighs in at 1 ½ lbs. Four ½" feet give plenty of clearance for resting on top of your amp. At the Zero setting the Brake Lite SA is fully bypassed. Each click yields more attenuation: 1=2dB, 2=5dB, 3=8dB, and 4=11dB.

Always use speaker cable to connect the Brake Lite SA to your speaker. When connecting a second cab you will be making a parallel load. Ex: a pair of 8 ohm cabs use the 4 ohm speaker out on your amp.
