The “R” in “RD Series” stands for “Reverb”, and the built-in reverb has anti-shock “Z” spring delay, a genuine advantage over long springs when running high power. The reverb can be adjusted with a front panel control, and turned On\/Off via Footswitch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe “D” in “RD Series” stands for “Distortion”. Five controls (two sets of Gain and Volume controls, and a footswitch that selects between them) let you dial in precisely the amount of distortion you want… from a clean, well-defined sound, to a gentle warmth when you play hard, to an all-out raucous rock and roll sound. You can adjust the Gain for more distortion, and then turn down the Volume to keep the power level where you want it. The “R” in “RD Series” stands for “Reverb”, and the built-in reverb has anti-shock “Z” spring delay, a genuine advantage over long springs when running high power. A unique “Ultralinear \/ Pentode” switch controls the output mode of the Sky King’s 6L6GC power tubes and essentially doubles the tonal range. This gives you a choice between the Crisp, Present, and Dynamic sound of Pentode mode, or the Thick, Chunky Mids, Sweetly Burnished Top End, and nice, Natural Compression of Ultralinear mode\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the Clean Channel; in Pentode Mode the Sky King will have the sharper dynamic attack of the Imperial.
